Our First Triathlete

I am so proud of Alex! Today he completed his first triathlon! He swam, biked and ran.  He was awarded his medal by a man who competed in an iron man competition. The best part was all he really cared about was finishing. He didn't need to be first, he didn't care if he was last, all he wanted was to finish and earn his medal! I am beyond the moon impressed with him!
Afterwards we went to Devils Lake and swam, built sandcastles, and played catch in the water.  We came home grilled some steaks and when I asked him what he liked most about the day he said "doing the iditarod" ummm Alex thats a winter event! hahaha Way to go Nugget!! thanks for reading xoxo

Pewits Nest

Alex got to go to Pewit's Nest with his friend Jack. They had a blast and came home wet and muddy! Alex found a frog and I am thankful he didn't bring it home! thanks for reading xoxo

Eye C U

Eye appointments for the kids went well. Alex doesn't need a new prescription and Jade has perfect vision!  They hated the eye drops but thought the sun glasses were cool! I took them to Taco Bell afterwards and Alex had one soft taco, one enchilada, one nachos, one fiery taco, and cinnamon twists! How the heck is that kid still barely 70 pounds!! Thanks for reading xoxo

Cupcake

WoW where did the time go? Its the end of May and I haven't kept up with life. Alex named his dragon Blade. Jade got a new pet. Ella still has not gotten potty trained. Yes, I said Jade got a new pet. Kato, Jade, Ella, and I went to Brat Fest. We played the ping pong ball toss game, the one where you toss the ping pong ball into the little glass jars and if you make it, you win. Well Jade and Ella didn't do so well so of course being as competitive as I am, I just had to try and sure enough my first toss, I won a fish.  I gave it to Jade and she named her Cupcake. Thank goodness Ella doesn't want any pets!!! thanks for reading xoxo

What to name a Dragon?

Alex has been learning about Bearded Dragons for about 2 months in hopes of getting one for a pet. He saved up all his money and finally last Sunday got one.  He set up its home and began caring for his very own Bearded Dragon.  After some deliberation he decided to name it Jason.  Shortly after that he finalized on Blade.  The only thing is, determining the sex of a Bearded Dragon can be difficult and can take some time. I hope she likes being called Blade!! thanks for reading xoxo
