1st at Regionals
Michael came away with a first prize victory last Saturday at one of the most important tournaments of the season. Regionals were held at Deforest this year and although he had faced many of the same opponents throughout the season he proved that even when they had the chance to defeat him, they could not. He placed second the previous weekend at Conference which helped the team secure third place. He said he was tired of getting silver and it was time for the gold. I love how he sets the goals and achieves them. This coming Saturday will be the deciding factor if he should advance to State. With new opponents and the high pressure he needs his mind on the mat. His heart is in it to win it, its his time!! thanks for reading xoxo

Ninja Alex
Alex has been saying for the past year how he would like to do karate. Kato took him to a couple of places in town that offer karate to kids his age. Once there he didn't like it, or didn't participate. Alex claimed it was because he only wanted to go to Red Dragon. The class time never really fit well with our working schedules. Lately I have been realizing that Alex really needs an outlet, something other then school and kids club. He needs something that is his and that he can be proud of. So I started him in karate at Red Dragon. Its where I go to kickbox. The first three nights he cried. He didn't know what to do and he said he didn't like it. I told him he needs to really try. He is so shy and reserved. He got his belt and it helped. He wanted a uniform so I got him one and that helped too but what really got him going was by the fifth night he got his first stripe! He was so proud. He is coming out of his shell and has been really engaged, asking questions to make sure he is doing it right, and smiling. He enjoys it so much and loves to come home to practice. Although it makes our evening even busier, its really worth it to see him participate in something. We want him to play sports and maybe this will help give him the confidence he needs. The best part is seeing him smile when he does it right, seeing him line up and take it seriously. I am very proud of my little ninja and can't wait to see what he can do next. thanks for reading xoxo

Ella 18 months
Ella had her 18th month check up the other day. She weighed in at 23 pounds which put her in the 32% range. Her height was at 31 1/2 inches, 40% range, and her head well she is like her sister, 61% range. She got 3 shots all in one leg and a sucker. The doctor said she is doing great and gave us some suggestions on how to get her to stop waking up through out the night. He said its time to take down the crib. I was sad and almost cried but know that it is for her own good. She is growing up really quick and even though I am here with her everyday for almost every hour, every second, I still feel like I am missing it. She talks, walks, eats, plays, and dances yet I haven't come to terms with her being a toddler. She will always be my baby. The million kisses I give her a day are not enough, the time I spend snuggled under a blanket on the couch reading her a book is not enough. The smiles she gives and the laughter I hear melt my heart. We are so blessed. Love me some Ella Beez. thanks for reading xoxo
