Happy Thanksgiving 2012
Thanksgiving day was different this year. Normally we would go to Keith and Jaynes and celebrate there but this year we had the feast here. I got to bed about 2am and hoped I was ready for Thanksgiving day. I was nervous about cooking the turkey so I made sure to have it ready to go. I set the timer on the oven to turn on at 4am. When 5am came around I flew out of bed, without the alarm waking me up, to check to see if the oven was on. It was, so I ran back to bed. At 6am I woke up panicking, did I turn on the oven, I don't know if I did or was it a dream, it turns out I did so I ran back to bed. At 7am I woke up freaking out about the turkey. Did I check already, I couldn't remember if I did or if I thought I did but didn't. I needed to make sure it was cooking. I flew out of bed and checked. It was fine. Turns out dementia starts in your 30's. By this time I was so frazzled I decided to just stay up and get started on the rest of the stuff. I had prepared some things the day before so all I really needed to do was put it in a crock pot and turn it on. Some things I had to make. I made sticky buns and bacon for breakfast. I wanted to have some goodies that my grandma used to make so I fixed up some caramel bite pie things with homemade whipped cream. Super yummy. I made stuffed apple pie apples too. Turns out, once you polish off a 20 pound turkey, 10 pounds of mashed potatoes, 9 pounds of ham, gravy, corn, rolls, and super good stuffing that Jayne made, there is no room for desserts. Note to self, next year leave room for desserts or eat desserts first. Everything turned out fine and somewhere between my food baby and 8pm I decided to go shopping. I hit up Target, Kohls, and the mall. Got some good deals but mostly got tired. I stopped shopping a little after 2am. I had hoped to work off some of my feast but I am not so sure I did. Oh well. Happy Thanks and Giving to all! thanks for reading xoxo

Devils Lake & Paint
Our wonderful neighbors invited Alex to go to Devils Lake with them last week. They had a great time and enjoyed the outdoors. It wasn't a coincidence that we dressed them in orange. It was opening weekend for deer hunting. We also began the room moving process. Alex is going to go up to the girls room and the girls will be sharing the big master bedroom. We painted Alex's old room and I think it looks great! thanks for reading xoxo

Step Away From The Thin Mints!!
Alex loves his thin mints! He is so protective of his thin mints he has devised a plan should anyone attempt to take his thin mints. I can't say for sure that it will work but I give him an A for effort! thanks for reading xoxo
Daughters are AWESOME
Daughters are amazing creatures. Mine are anyway. They seem to brighten my day when I am feeling down. They are silly and frilly and don't really know how cute they are. They are smart and sensitive and loving. I admit when I was pregnant with Jade I was a little sad that she is a girl. I wanted boys. They seemed easier. I felt like there would be no way I could love a little girl as much as I loved my boys, I was ever so wrong! I don't mean a little bit wrong I mean a whole lotta wrong!! I can't fathom and explain in words how much my beautiful daughters mean to me, how much I love them, and how proud I am that they are my daughters. They will make mistakes, they will learn, they will grow up and leave but until then I am going to love them and cherish them and help them develop their own minds. They are already so creative and smart and always in cahoots. I am madly in love with all my babies and I love that half of them are girls! thanks for reading xoxo

Happy 19 Years
Michael turned 19 years old. How is that possible? I remember, vividly, him drinking from the hose at my parents house when he was 3. I remember changing his diapers! He towers over me at 6'2" and there is no way I could possibly carry him for more then a couple of feet. He is going to be a Marine. He is going to become even more of a man then he is now. Although I am very proud of all he has accomplished I am certainly excited to see what he does next. Lately he has been taking Alex to the wrestling room and working with him one on one. They bring in a couple other kids too so that when Alex starts wrestling he will be comfortable. I love the brotherly bonding time they are experiencing. Its something Alex will never forget and I know he is loving every minute of it. Michael really is a pretty darn good kid! thanks for reading xoxo

Halloween 2012 Part 2
Really? Prince Charming is calling for me?
Hello Prince, yes this is Princess Ella.
Oh Prince Charming, You're sooo funny!
Whats Up? Yea Im Princess Ella!!
So Happy Halloween is over!! Alex, Jade, Ella, and I went trick or treating last night for a bit. They did really well. Alex had no problems ringing door bells saying trick or treat and thank you. Jade didn't like having to say anything at all. Ella said trick or treat when asked to and sometimes I had to remind her to say thank you but for the most part she had that down! She didn't like houses with dogs barking and didn't go to the door if she suspected a dog might be there. After an hour we headed home to meet up with Kato and pass out some candy ourselves. The kids like handing it out almost as much as trick or treating for it. Alex was a little bummed we were not able to hit up Water Street this year, hope they bring that back again sometime. Kato took them over to the Eagle Inn for a bit more candy while I stayed home and made pizza. Its fun going through all the kids' stuff to see what they got and to take out some "Mom Taxes." You know a Reeses Peanut Butter cup for bad attitudes, Snickers for cleaning up dirty clothes, Twix for butt wipings, Baby Ruths for breakfast lunch dinner service, and Tootsie Rolls/Twizzlers/M&Ms for whatever else came to mind. Not necessarily in that order or for that reason but Mom Taxes are like all taxes, made up at the last minute for my own personal benefit. The kids are willing to share with me for the most part anyway. Now its time to get all the Halloween vomit down and put away and make room for the Christmas vomit. thanks for reading xoxo
