nothing too interesting
Things are getting back to normal. The kids are done being sick and I haven't had take any of them to the doctors this week, although Michael did mention he thinks he is getting cauliflower ear. Alex had swimming last night and did great. I talked to my mom today who is trying to figure out when she can come out here for a visit. I haven't seen her since my grandfather passed away and that was in April last year. I miss him. Everyday. All the time. Kato and I got tickets to the Lion King and I am so excited I could pee my pants which wouldn't be that hard to do since it feels like the baby is sitting on my bladder all the time. I can feel it moving around in there, mostly at night when I am laying still in bed or sitting here typing. It is my favorite part of being pregnant. I have my doctors visit tonight so it will be fun to hear the heart beat. They have to take blood for testing. Not excited about getting on the scale as mentioned previously but oh well. The weekend is almost here and I really would like to sleep in. Jade and Alex have been sleeping in until 8:30 or later on the weekends so lets hope that continues. Sleeping in for me is anything after 7am these days. We need a new computer bad so I hope we can start looking into that. Ours is over 10 years old now so its time for an upgrade. Well thats all I have to say for now. I will post something tomorrow about the docs visit tonight. thanks for reading xoxo

Superbowl Sunday

I found this piece of bread that kinda had a smiley face on it and figured its a sign my luck is going to get better. Probably just wishful thinking.
Saturday was better. The kids seem to be done puking. Alex hadn't puked in over 24 hours, Jade was still coughing but the humidifier helped, and Michael was back to wrestling. Kato was home, with a cold, but at least he was finally able to help a little. I found a huge puddle of water in the fridge on Thursday or Friday (can't really remember when the events happened cause it all seemed to happen at once) and I freaked out cause its new and I wasn't sure if it was from the ice maker, water distributor, or something was thawing. When I told Kato about it he told me it was from a water jug that he had put in there on its side and it leaked out. Information that would have been helpful earlier not to mention it would have been nice for the spill to have been cleaned up and not left there. Anyway, later Friday night he comes up and says how about Pizza Ranch on Sunday for my dads birthday, I say have fun I am staying home to watch the Superbowl. He forgot about it. So we invited them here for a taco bar, birthday party, superbowl watching event. I want the Saints to win. I don't know if they will but it would be nice for them. Since its the last football game of the season I decided to wear Seahawks stuff. I wear Packer stuff all the time so its a nice change. Jade is wearing a Packer jersey and Alex has on his wolverine costume and FBI shoes. He went to Olivias birthday party yesterday. They saw the movie Tooth Fairy, ate hot dogs and cake and played with toys. He had fun. I am still, so far and knock on wood, in the clear for the stomach bug and kind of feel lucky to have not gotten it although when I got on the scale today I kinda wished I had it. I psyched myself up and thought if I get it I don't want the baby to suffer so I pigged out on stuff and now I am regretting those extra snacks. Good thing I am making turkey tacos, using low carb whole wheat tortillas, skipping the cheese and sour cream, and opted for diet ice cream and brownies (which are lower in cals and stuff then cake and frosting) plus in brownies there are no trans fats. So its the little things that help. I have a docs appointment on Thursday should be a real treat to explain the excessive weight gain. thanks for reading and happy superbowl sunday!!! xoxo

Alex got the stomach bug...oh my
Well Alex got the stomach bug so now I am the last one who has not gotten it...yet. I felt really bad for him cause it once again gets to the point where there is nothing left to yak up and he dry heaves until it makes him cry. So it started last night about 7pm and went until 2am. I gave him 1 ounce of water this morning waited an hour and gave him some more, waited 30 minutes and then gave him some Gatorade. He slept, didn't eat anything except a popcicle, and drank water and Gatorade. At 5pm today he was ready to get out of his room. I let him. He wanted some celery so I let him. He had some cereal and all I can say is he is back to normal. So its almost the weekend and Michael has a wrestling tournament. He should be able to compete by then. I got a comment about some super soap and wipes that help kill the germs that wrestlers come into contact with so I am going to get some. Hopefully next week we all will be back to normal. thanks for reading xoxo

Can I please get a break????
Sometimes when it rains it pours and other times it just drizzles for what seems like forever!!! So you know how Monday was. Monday night I change the sheets on Alex's bed as I will be sleeping there and Kato will be upstairs alone with his puke bucket. I get off the blankets on our bed that I don't want to have to wash, just in case, and get him some blankets that are ok to go in the wash. Alex's bed has super warm flannel sheets with the down comforter and duvet cover. Kato has about 3 blankets. He said he was still cold. Anyway, Monday night no one got sick! Kato stayed home on Tuesday which was for the best cause it was coming out the other end now. I worried all day about if and when Alex and I would get it. Michael was home for awhile due to strep throat although he had a shot and was feeling much better. School requires 24 hours of antibiotics and no fever. So I made home made chicken noodle soup which all the kids really liked with grilled cheese sandwiches. Later Tuesday night I got to go to watch Michael wrestle, he won, in fact the entire team crushed Waunakee!! They may have us beat at football but we demolished them at wrestling. The best part was Michael had his revenge, the guy he wrestled beat him twice last year. I also got to sit next to the founder of the Sauk Prairie Wrestling Club who had a son who wrestled there 25 years ago. He said him and his wife go to all the home meets and tournaments and watch. They kept score of everything, he was really impressed with Michael and said he has seen an improvement in him. It was pretty cool to hear that from him. He asked about his nickname, Gator, I told him that Michael got his nickname from Art Cone who was also a big contributor to wrestling before he passed away. He of course knew exactly who it was. Anyway, I came straight home and went to bed again in Alex's room. Another good night of no one getting sick and everyone awoke feeling well except for me who is super tired and want my bed back. Just when I was sure everything was on the mend and getting back to normal, Michael calls from school to tell me he has ringworm and has to go back to the doctors!! UGH UGH UGH can I get a fricken break!!!! With all the cleaning, disinfecting, cleaning, washing, antibacterializing you'd think things would be safe but NOOOOOO so now back to the docs we go. Maybe I can get a cream for my chapped dry hands. At least no one puked today...yet. thanks for reading xoxo

CRAZY monday part II
Its official....KATO HAS IT!!! he came home sick and couldn't wait to pray to the porcelain god!!! Just wondering now when its going to be Alex and my turn. With Michael having strep I would hope the virus would be kind enough to leave him alone!! then again when have we ever had a nice virus? There is not enough Lysol in the world that would be able to protect us. Please just get it over with already. Actually if it could wait until at least wednesday so I can go to parents night and watch Michael wrestle I would really appreciate it. thanks for reading xoxo
CRAZY monday
Turns out that maybe Jade had a little stomach bug but we won't know for sure unless Alex, Kato, or I get it too. Some of the daycare kids had it or got it and since we are not really sure what it is or how long it stays dormant for we may never really know all the answers.
Its been a crazy Monday!!! Thank goodness I am down one kid otherwise I would be going insane! Michaels school called and they sent him home with a fever and sore throat. It was a busy morning trying to figure out if so and so was going to be here this week, when can Michael get into the doctors, how will we get there without car seats, can I get car seats, Jade is fussy, Alex has school, car registration stickers have to be put on before you drive, breakfast, clean up, Mommy I want this, Kara I want that!! It was NUTS. Finally we get somewhat squared away and lunch then off to the docs. Throat culture is positive for strep, we cant leave the clinic without seeing a doc, 4 kids under 5, one teenager who cant help cause of strep, 20 minute wait to see the doc, 10 minutes with a doc, 15 minute wait to get a shot. Kids are fighting over toys and books, Jade wants to go on a walk about throughout the clinic and out the doors, she is now screaming!! Nap time?? Oh yes. I am hot, sweating, frustrated, starving, and tired. Back in the van at 1:20, get buckled, kids playing with the window coverings when I asked them NOT TO!! Again they play with it. Kids say they want something to eat, I, in fact, haven't eaten today yet! In the house, shoes, hats, coats, off, diaper change, potty, nap!! QUIET, its so nice. Oh yes have to eat but first make something to eat for Michael. Sneak a bite, I am really hungry now. Finally 2:00 and I am now eating. Feels good. Crazy busy day but its almost over. thanks for reading xoxo
