Got it all done!!!

Pretty impressive!! What is you ask?? Getting everything done that you wanted to do with the 2 young kids on a Saturday without drama from them. I got new dishes, a new cell phone, and new groceries!! Well ok groceries are always new but I had a theme going. Today we woke up and I got the dishes unpacked washed and Kato put them away. I packed up the old ones and Michael took them downstairs for me. I really like them but I need one more set or maybe 2. I got two sets but having only 8 of everything is not enough especially if we have company for dinner. We cleaned up a bit around the house, dusted, swept, watered plants, vaccuumed, washed some windows, and cleaned the tv area. I clean that tv at least 3 times a week. Little fingers and feet marks get all over it. Tonight we are going to dinner with Jayne and Keith to celebrate Jaynes birthday. Should be nice. I am now off to watch the hockey game. What hockey game you ask?? Canada vs. USA at the olympics duh!!! GO USA! thanks for reading xoxo

TGIF or is it

Well its been two days and Alex still won't walk on his legs. He says it feels better but it still hurts. I called the doctor who told me to wait until Monday. Today was really rough. I had 9 kids and it felt like it. By the end of the day all I wanted was a drink of the alcoholic kind but all I got was more crap. So after making 18 meals and 9 snacks I still had to make and clean up from dinner for the four of us, Michael is at State Wrestling. No fun for a Friday. My manners were out the window and after a good 20 minute cry along with lets see how many swear words I can fit into one sentence fit, I feel much better. Tomorrow I am getting a new cell phone we will see what the in-laws have picked for me this time. Last time it was a Barbie pink phone. Should be fun. We will go to Toys R Us and hopefully stop at Target cause I would really like to get some new dishes still. I have been trying to find some I like since November. We will stop at Woodmans for some groceries and then will get home just in time for something. I need to get a new double stroller since the one I have is older then dirt and covered in it as well. I don't even know how to fold it down and the bottom is ripped out. For $2 at a garage sale it was worth it as it has been very helpful with the daycare especially when we go to the pool. Thought I would post a pic of Jade wearing a GG and Grandma Kim original. They made the dress for her. thanks for reading xoxo

Alex and the Bruise?? or is it

Yesterday was an ok day. Things are changing everyday and some things are getting harder to deal with then others. Last night Alex had swimming lessons and we decided to go to dinner. Alex ate ok but I have seen him eat better and Jade did pretty darn good except she had to sit on Daddy's lap the entire time. Michael was milking cows and had fried chicken with all the country fixings at the farm. When we got home we were playing with the kids. At about 8:50 it was time to get ready for bed so Alex went into his room and put on his "wrestling shorts" they are really boxer briefs. When he came out he was in front of his dad and Kato asked him "what is that?" He had a strange mark on his left side lower belly area, lower then his ribs but above his hip bone. It stuck out about 1/2 inch was super dark black and blue like a bruise but it had a bump in the center. We asked him what happened and he didn't know. We decided to take him to the urgent care at the hospital because it was such an unusual mark and since we didn't know what it was from or how it got there I was very much concerned. He was not happy to go and he scowled the entire time. Kato stayed home with Jade and put her to bed. I felt kinda weird about going but when you see something like that on your child and its not explained its better safe then sorry. We got in after 1/2 hour wait and the doctor confirmed it was only a really bad bruise. She said if it gets worse or something else worries us to go back in. I felt better and was able to sleep but I had bad dreams about it. I watch way too many ER shows on TLC. This morning he woke up and complained about his leg hurting. His left leg, same side as the bruise. I gave him some tylenol but he still has yet to walk on it. Kato said he slept wrong and brushed it off. I am his mother and this is not like him especially since his good buddy Logan is here today and they like to wrestle. We may be heading back to the doctors office. thanks for reading xoxo

birthday weekend

So Friday was my birthday and my kids and husband got me a card and a new packer sweatshirt that I love!! It won't fit right until next season but its nice. I got some flowers from the Schneiders and they brought breakfast which was super yummy! I only had 2 kids so it was a light day. Ms. Ellen and Ms. Olivia stopped by with a piece of homemade chocolate cake and a scoop of homemade ice cream topped off with a birthday candle. It was super yummy!! We went out to dinner and got some movies. It was a good day. Saturday I spent the first part of the day baking for the wrestling fund raiser and the second part of the day I watched movies, went shopping in town with my nugget and cooked dinner. Michael had a wrestling tournament in Deforest and unfortunately his season has come to an end. He did well. I am very proud of him. Sunday, I made breakfast for everyone and 2 of Michaels friends. We had waffles, ham, eggs, juice and coffee. After that Kato went to volunteer at the youth tournament from 9-11. He worked the concession stand taking money. I took his place at 11 and it was super busy, we had the lunch break in that time so we were slammed. My relief didn't show up so I stayed until 1:45 then two girls came up and asked if they could help. I was happy to let them. I have a headache and so I am hoping two tylenols will help. It was a good weekend and sometimes doing not so much feels like too much. thanks for reading xoxo

more things i love

So here is another thing I love but not like I love my family. Beef Jerky!! Not just any kind of Beef Jerky but Wild Bills beef jerky. It is so good. I don't like to think I am a very picky eater but I am picky about my beef jerky!! I don't like most other kinds of beef jerky and I don't like teriyaki flavor. I like regular or peppered. When ever we go on a road trip I always try for the wild bills beef jerky first. If its not available I stick with sour cherries, some chips or corn nuts, a flavored water, and sometimes I get gummy worms but only if they have red with green or red with white. The red with green are my favorite. I also really love jelly beans but only if they are jelly belly in pear or pina colada. Oh I also really love Nalley's Chili. They don't sell it out here so when ever my family comes to visit I always ask that they bring some and I ration it out like we are living in a bomb shelter. I make it last for awhile cause when its gone is when I really want it. I miss having things out here that are available in Washington like Taco Time and Jack In the Box. I could really go for some soft tacos from Taco Time and some of their tater tots with their salsa stuff. Oh boy is it good!!! Jack in the box used to have these chimichangas that were super yummy. When the ecoli thing busted out it sucked cause I really liked going to Jack but once it was over I hit that place up often. When Kato was deployed I ate there alot along with Taco Time, Taco del mar, Taco Bell, and Wendys. I have no idea how I lost 25 pounds when he was gone with that kind of eating. Anyway, those are some more things I love. Thanks for reading xoxo

The Wheel and me

Ya know how there are things out there in the world that you just love but its not a love like you love your family or close friends its just a love that makes you happy or even sometimes excited? Well I have many of those and with this new computer I am able to enjoy that love even more. Its my love for Wheel of Fortune. I know kinda weird and unexpected but I love watching it on TV and playing it on my handheld video game and I love it on the computer. I would really like to one day be on the show. We watch it every night at 6:30 and usually I can solve the puzzles before anyone else. Sometimes Kato and Michael get them but its usually because I wasn't paying attention at the moment or I really didn't get it that quick. They both say I could make us some money on that show. It was in Green Bay once but I didn't know about it until it was too late. I remember when I was little visiting my grandparents which was pretty much every weekend, and we would watch it back then. I would pick out all the stuff I wanted to buy from the showcase as it spun around. Back then you had to use the money you won to buy stuff from the show. Its much better now. I thought Vanna was so lucky and pretty. My grandparents and I used to talk about how I was going to be on the show when I got big. I would always tell them that when I won I would take them with me so they could be on stage on TV too. We had big plans for the Wheel and I back then. I now have my lucky spin ID but haven't won a trip or a car yet. I hope to win something everyday except when its a trip to someplace not so exotic like San Fran or Alaska. I want someplace warm or someplace I have never been. Anyway I have been playing it on the computer for practice. I hope one day I will be on the show. I love Wheel of Fortune just not like I love my family. thanks for reading xoxo

Valentines weekend

Sorry I didn't post Friday I got really busy getting ready for the new computer we got on Saturday. So Thursday my doc app was good. I gained 7 pounds which was alot but I totally expected it. The babys heartbeat was at 155. I gave blood for my quad screening and was out in 1/2 hour. Saturday we got a new computer! I love it. Its a HP and we got a printer too. I can't believe what a difference it makes with the things I do on it. Its faster and better. Our old computer was 10 years old so it was time for an upgrade. We went to Michaels wrestling tournament in Waunakee. We watched Michael take 2nd place and I was so proud. Jayne and Keith were there which was nice too because with both Alex and Jade there it was a handful. Sunday I went grocery shopping which is really starting to suck. Everytime I go which is about 2 times per month for the big stuff I hate it a little more. I hate seeing the bill go up and I hate having two carts no matter how organized I am with them both and it takes at least 2 hours. When I got home we set up the new computer well actually Kato did it and I watched, I called my mom. I was excited to hear she will be coming for a visit in March. She will be here for the ultrasound and to find out the sex of the baby, since I can't wait!! She is taking a train out and I know she has wanted to do that for awhile now. We finished up with Alex's homework and I made ribs and baked potatoes for the family. I gave the kids and Kato their valentines at breakfast which wasn't much but it was something. It was a good weekend and now back to the grind. thanks for reading xoxo

nothing too interesting

Things are getting back to normal. The kids are done being sick and I haven't had take any of them to the doctors this week, although Michael did mention he thinks he is getting cauliflower ear. Alex had swimming last night and did great. I talked to my mom today who is trying to figure out when she can come out here for a visit. I haven't seen her since my grandfather passed away and that was in April last year. I miss him. Everyday. All the time. Kato and I got tickets to the Lion King and I am so excited I could pee my pants which wouldn't be that hard to do since it feels like the baby is sitting on my bladder all the time. I can feel it moving around in there, mostly at night when I am laying still in bed or sitting here typing. It is my favorite part of being pregnant. I have my doctors visit tonight so it will be fun to hear the heart beat. They have to take blood for testing. Not excited about getting on the scale as mentioned previously but oh well. The weekend is almost here and I really would like to sleep in. Jade and Alex have been sleeping in until 8:30 or later on the weekends so lets hope that continues. Sleeping in for me is anything after 7am these days. We need a new computer bad so I hope we can start looking into that. Ours is over 10 years old now so its time for an upgrade. Well thats all I have to say for now. I will post something tomorrow about the docs visit tonight. thanks for reading xoxo

Superbowl Sunday

I found this piece of bread that kinda had a smiley face on it and figured its a sign my luck is going to get better. Probably just wishful thinking.

Saturday was better. The kids seem to be done puking. Alex hadn't puked in over 24 hours, Jade was still coughing but the humidifier helped, and Michael was back to wrestling. Kato was home, with a cold, but at least he was finally able to help a little. I found a huge puddle of water in the fridge on Thursday or Friday (can't really remember when the events happened cause it all seemed to happen at once) and I freaked out cause its new and I wasn't sure if it was from the ice maker, water distributor, or something was thawing. When I told Kato about it he told me it was from a water jug that he had put in there on its side and it leaked out. Information that would have been helpful earlier not to mention it would have been nice for the spill to have been cleaned up and not left there. Anyway, later Friday night he comes up and says how about Pizza Ranch on Sunday for my dads birthday, I say have fun I am staying home to watch the Superbowl. He forgot about it. So we invited them here for a taco bar, birthday party, superbowl watching event. I want the Saints to win. I don't know if they will but it would be nice for them. Since its the last football game of the season I decided to wear Seahawks stuff. I wear Packer stuff all the time so its a nice change. Jade is wearing a Packer jersey and Alex has on his wolverine costume and FBI shoes. He went to Olivias birthday party yesterday. They saw the movie Tooth Fairy, ate hot dogs and cake and played with toys. He had fun. I am still, so far and knock on wood, in the clear for the stomach bug and kind of feel lucky to have not gotten it although when I got on the scale today I kinda wished I had it. I psyched myself up and thought if I get it I don't want the baby to suffer so I pigged out on stuff and now I am regretting those extra snacks. Good thing I am making turkey tacos, using low carb whole wheat tortillas, skipping the cheese and sour cream, and opted for diet ice cream and brownies (which are lower in cals and stuff then cake and frosting) plus in brownies there are no trans fats. So its the little things that help. I have a docs appointment on Thursday should be a real treat to explain the excessive weight gain. thanks for reading and happy superbowl sunday!!! xoxo

Alex got the stomach bug...oh my

Well Alex got the stomach bug so now I am the last one who has not gotten it...yet. I felt really bad for him cause it once again gets to the point where there is nothing left to yak up and he dry heaves until it makes him cry. So it started last night about 7pm and went until 2am. I gave him 1 ounce of water this morning waited an hour and gave him some more, waited 30 minutes and then gave him some Gatorade. He slept, didn't eat anything except a popcicle, and drank water and Gatorade. At 5pm today he was ready to get out of his room. I let him. He wanted some celery so I let him. He had some cereal and all I can say is he is back to normal. So its almost the weekend and Michael has a wrestling tournament. He should be able to compete by then. I got a comment about some super soap and wipes that help kill the germs that wrestlers come into contact with so I am going to get some. Hopefully next week we all will be back to normal. thanks for reading xoxo

Can I please get a break????

Sometimes when it rains it pours and other times it just drizzles for what seems like forever!!! So you know how Monday was. Monday night I change the sheets on Alex's bed as I will be sleeping there and Kato will be upstairs alone with his puke bucket. I get off the blankets on our bed that I don't want to have to wash, just in case, and get him some blankets that are ok to go in the wash. Alex's bed has super warm flannel sheets with the down comforter and duvet cover. Kato has about 3 blankets. He said he was still cold. Anyway, Monday night no one got sick! Kato stayed home on Tuesday which was for the best cause it was coming out the other end now. I worried all day about if and when Alex and I would get it. Michael was home for awhile due to strep throat although he had a shot and was feeling much better. School requires 24 hours of antibiotics and no fever. So I made home made chicken noodle soup which all the kids really liked with grilled cheese sandwiches. Later Tuesday night I got to go to watch Michael wrestle, he won, in fact the entire team crushed Waunakee!! They may have us beat at football but we demolished them at wrestling. The best part was Michael had his revenge, the guy he wrestled beat him twice last year. I also got to sit next to the founder of the Sauk Prairie Wrestling Club who had a son who wrestled there 25 years ago. He said him and his wife go to all the home meets and tournaments and watch. They kept score of everything, he was really impressed with Michael and said he has seen an improvement in him. It was pretty cool to hear that from him. He asked about his nickname, Gator, I told him that Michael got his nickname from Art Cone who was also a big contributor to wrestling before he passed away. He of course knew exactly who it was. Anyway, I came straight home and went to bed again in Alex's room. Another good night of no one getting sick and everyone awoke feeling well except for me who is super tired and want my bed back. Just when I was sure everything was on the mend and getting back to normal, Michael calls from school to tell me he has ringworm and has to go back to the doctors!! UGH UGH UGH can I get a fricken break!!!! With all the cleaning, disinfecting, cleaning, washing, antibacterializing you'd think things would be safe but NOOOOOO so now back to the docs we go. Maybe I can get a cream for my chapped dry hands. At least no one puked today...yet. thanks for reading xoxo

CRAZY monday part II

Its official....KATO HAS IT!!! he came home sick and couldn't wait to pray to the porcelain god!!! Just wondering now when its going to be Alex and my turn. With Michael having strep I would hope the virus would be kind enough to leave him alone!! then again when have we ever had a nice virus? There is not enough Lysol in the world that would be able to protect us. Please just get it over with already. Actually if it could wait until at least wednesday so I can go to parents night and watch Michael wrestle I would really appreciate it. thanks for reading xoxo

CRAZY monday

Turns out that maybe Jade had a little stomach bug but we won't know for sure unless Alex, Kato, or I get it too. Some of the daycare kids had it or got it and since we are not really sure what it is or how long it stays dormant for we may never really know all the answers.

Its been a crazy Monday!!! Thank goodness I am down one kid otherwise I would be going insane! Michaels school called and they sent him home with a fever and sore throat. It was a busy morning trying to figure out if so and so was going to be here this week, when can Michael get into the doctors, how will we get there without car seats, can I get car seats, Jade is fussy, Alex has school, car registration stickers have to be put on before you drive, breakfast, clean up, Mommy I want this, Kara I want that!! It was NUTS. Finally we get somewhat squared away and lunch then off to the docs. Throat culture is positive for strep, we cant leave the clinic without seeing a doc, 4 kids under 5, one teenager who cant help cause of strep, 20 minute wait to see the doc, 10 minutes with a doc, 15 minute wait to get a shot. Kids are fighting over toys and books, Jade wants to go on a walk about throughout the clinic and out the doors, she is now screaming!! Nap time?? Oh yes. I am hot, sweating, frustrated, starving, and tired. Back in the van at 1:20, get buckled, kids playing with the window coverings when I asked them NOT TO!! Again they play with it. Kids say they want something to eat, I, in fact, haven't eaten today yet! In the house, shoes, hats, coats, off, diaper change, potty, nap!! QUIET, its so nice. Oh yes have to eat but first make something to eat for Michael. Sneak a bite, I am really hungry now. Finally 2:00 and I am now eating. Feels good. Crazy busy day but its almost over. thanks for reading xoxo
